Welcome to my New Conservation Courses
Courses in Environmental Conservation
Welcome to our environmental conservation courses, where passion for nature meets hands-on learning. I offer a range of specialised courses designed to deepen your understanding of wildlife ecology and conservation practices. Whether you're looking to enhance your skills for a career in conservation or simply want to connect with nature on a deeper level, our courses provide the knowledge and practical experience you need.
I bring years of experience working with leading organisations such as the RSPB, DEFRA, Natural England, and their Nature Improvement Area project and The Dearne Valley Heart Partnership. These collaborations have given me invaluable insights into conservation strategies and wildlife management, which I now share through carefully curated courses.
The courses that are currently available are online theory based a the moment, as the Practical Side is currently being worked out. T

Our offerings include:
Small Mammal Trapping (Online Theory): Learn theoretical safe and ethical techniques for surveying small mammals, identifying species, and understanding population dynamics.
Water Vole Ecology: Explore the habitat requirements, behaviours, and conservation status of water voles. Hopefully I will be able to offer practical fieldwork to assess local populations and put the theory into hands on experience.
Water Shrew Surveying: Gain a theoretical experience in monitoring water shrew populations, identifying field signs, and contributing to conservation data collection.
Each course combines theoretical learning with the possibility of an immersive field experiences, giving participants the chance to build real-world skills. You’ll have the opportunity to work with specialist equipment, learn survey methodologies, and contribute to ongoing conservation efforts with what you learn online and then the possibility of signing up to Practical Survey Days
